Lithography is a unique printmaking medium that is based on the principle that oil and water repel one another. Unlike many other printmaking mediums, lithography is a chemical process, which incorporates direct drawing techniques to produce beautiful prints with a unique aesthetic.
This four day workshop is designed as an introduction to the lithography medium, and would suit those who are yet to explore the world of lithography, would like a refresher course, or who have not worked with aluminium matrices before.
Most materials will be provided, but participants will be expected to provide some of their own printing paper. A list of materials and suggested papers will be sent out in advance.
Dates: Thursday 21 — Sunday 24 March 2019, 9:30am — 4:00pm
Location: Grey Hand Press, 28/16 Crockford St, Northgate 4013
